Starting classes at CTU
Nov. 19th, 2012 10:31 pmI wanted to wait until I was officially settled in my first class to announce I've enrolled in Colorado Technical University. I've been talking it over with
dungeonwriter for a while now, and she inspired me to bite the bullet and jump in while the jumping is good! =D I know that means my time will be compromised even more, but in the long run, I know my family will have a better opportunity to not have to struggle all the time, and hopefully that means a better paycheck with a position in my company that provides a sense of accomplishment and a fulfilling future.
It's an all online degree with 5.5 week courses. It's a lot of material to cover (which I was really worried about) but the instructor has advised the book's review covers most of the relevant topics and anything needed to be looked into further can be looked up otherwise... man! I read the first, second, fourth, and tenth chapter at like 160pgs total and that took me 5 hours to do. o0 And each week is about that much reading... I'm totally going to the review! LOL! I'll be alternating from one class then two classes and back to one class and so on until I graduate. Hopefully my previous 116 credits will help knock down the amount of courses I'll have to take because man these classes are expensive at $325 a credit and 4 to 4.5 credits per mini semester! 0o I hope I can catch on well enough to get an A average... math terrifies me at these kinds of rates because I really suck at math :/ Wish me luck guys! I'll keep you updated on my progress! I just found out today that my DG scholarship was accepted, so woot to them helping me pay for my classes! =D
